  1. Blend yoghurt and water to the blender and beat it well for a minute.

Variations

  3. Crush a pinch of cumin seeds after beating the yoghurt.
  4. Finely chopped coriander leaves enhances the flavour of the buttermilk as well.

Preparation Steps

  1. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds and wait for it to splutter.
  2. Add finely chopped onion and little salt and saute them for two minutes in a medium flame.
  3. Add green chillies and tomato now. Wait until the tomato becomes mushy.
  4. Now it is time to add the curry powder. Add the curry powders mentioned in the curry powder section.
  5. Add the cut mushroom now. Mushroom secretes water so no need to add any more water. You can adjust the consistency later by adding little water at the end.
  6. Add the coriander leaves and lemon juice now and turn-off the flame.

Variations

  1. To adjust the consistency, instead of adding water at the end, you can add coconut milk. Do not bring the coconut milk to boil if you are adding. Turn-off the flame after one minute of adding the coconut milk.

  1. Cut the guava into small pieces. (Make sure the fruit is not fully ripe. Ripe fruit will have fructose and you need to watch out for your carb level)

  1. Bring the water to boil and add instant coffee powder.
  2. Add the mixed coffee in the blender (mixer grinder) along with the butter and mix it well.
  3. Serve it hot.

Variations

  1. Add a drop of vanilla essence for the flavour.
  2. Some would like to add 1 tsp of coconut oil to the drink.
  3. Add a pinch of pink salt (Himalayan Rock Salt) if you are keen on getting minerals in the morning.

  1. You can also keep the mix in the refrigerator for an hour and serve cold.
  2. If you like raw garlic, you can finely chop 1 clove of garlic and add it along with onion and tomato.

Preparation Steps

  1. Mix 1/2 cup of milk and 1/2 cup of water and boil it for 5 minutes
  2. Add 3 teaspoons of tea leaves and stir it so that the leaves will mix well.
  3. Boil for another 2 minutes.
  4. Strain the tea in a cup using strainer.
  5. Take the butter and drop it in the cup. It will melt in the hot mixture. Use a spoon to stir butter along with the tea.
  6. Serve it hot.

Variations

  1. Replace 1/2 cup of milk with water and make the tea.
  2. You can also add a pinch of cinnamon powder.
  3. Some would like to add 1 tsp of coconut oil to the drink.
